The Dwarf Rasbora is also known as the Pygmy Rasbora or Spotted Rasbora, and is one of the smallest freshwater fish of the Rasbora fish family. The Dwarf Rasbora is a peaceful shoaling species and enjoys a planted aquarium in groups of 8 or more. More suited to the intermediate aquarist due to their sensitivity during water changes.

Native to Southeast Asia, in Malaysia, Thailand, Sumatra, Singapore, and Indonesia, the Dwarf Rasbora is naturally found in densely vegetated black water streams. They are a timid species and will gain confidence with lots of hiding spaces and ingroups.
