The Rathbuni Bloodfin Tetra, also known as theGreen Fire Tetra,is ahardy shoaling speciesthat enjoys a planted aquarium in groups of 6 or more.It tolerate a broad range of conditions due to the natural seasonal changes this species encounters in the wild. Colours are enhanced when fish feel safe & secure and have settled into their aquarium.

Native to tributaries of the Rio Paraguay in South America.

Features of Rathbuni Bloodfin Tetra’s:

• Males have a metallic blue green body with a red anal fin and lower rear of the body. Mature males have white pelvic and anal fins.
• Females have a “heavier” blue green metallic body, with the same red as males & a blue highlight along the lateral line
• Best keep in heavily planted aquariums
• Keep a higher ratio of females to males
• Tolerates broad water parameters
• Care level: Beginner
• Grows up to 5cm
