Princess Cichlid

Princess Cichlids are pairing fish. Its a beautiful fish with a uniform beige coloration and distinct eye markings. Needs several hiding places (caves). Best kept in a small group with 6 or more. Features of Princess Cichlids:

• Two black spots behind and below the eyes, along with a third spot of yellow-orange
• There are also highlights of metallic blue around the eyes and at the edge of the fins

The Best Aquarium Size for Princess Cichlid:

Princess cichlids areschoolingfish.For a species only tank, a minimum of 75 litres is suggested. However, alarger tank of 200L or more would be required if mixing with other species.

Tank Mate Compatibility:

Princesscichlids can be kept in spacious aquariums with other medium-sized species, such as Julidochromis ornatus. However, it is preferable to keep them in a single-species group in a dedicated aquarium.

Feeding :

A quality cichlid pellet, cichlid flakes that sinks to the bottom of the tank should be the foundation of their diet along with supplements of meat and vegetables. Live insects that sink to the bottom are also good, as are live or frozen cichlid food, brine shrimp and Daphnia, or common water fleas.
