NT Labs Koi Care Koi Calm – 277

Koi Calm is a gentle sedative designed to calm the fish down so that it can be handled easily for topical application of Ulcer Swab and Wound Seal, or for movement or close inspection. Using NT Labs Koi Care Koi Calm helps to slow the fish down, reduce stress and allow inspection and repair work to be carried out.

Dose at rate of 10 drops to every 5 litres of water for holding fish while calming – expose for 5- 10 minutes until placid

After sedation and return to untreated water take care to irrigate water through the gills for quick recovery , moving fish while holding or by pouring water gently through mouth / gills – do not release until upright and able to swim.

We recently advised a customer when moving a large Red Tailed Catfish to a public aquarium , they reduced the volume in the aquarium to a minimum, added the koi calm to that volume calculating dosage as recommended and the fish was sedated for transfer in minutes to the holding tank for transportation ( with no sedation in this transport container necessary) 2 hours later the fish was released in the Display aquarium and was none the worse for the event.
