Highly adapted fish predator, with an impressive set of teeth! Occurs in both fresh and brackish water. Occasionally bred in aquaria, becomes mature at around 35-40cm (can grow to 80cm in nature, but usually stays much smaller in aquaria). The fry require live food such as adult brine shrimp – initially they will only prey on live food which is moving in mid water.
