Restricted to Lake Tebera in the New Guinea Highlands, they are very attractive when mature. Males develop golden bodies with bright red fins. Easy to care for, theyare active swimmers and prefer to be kept in shoals of 6 or more in planted yet spacious aquariums. This species prefers more alkaline and hard water.
