Honey Gourami is a freshwater fish and belongs to gourami family. It is an ideal fish for beginning fish keepers due to their peaceful nature, hardiness and affordable price. They are timid and shy specimens and may take a while to get comfortable in your tank. Thesefish are native to northern India and Bangladesh, and occasionally in Nepal with most aquarium fish being bred commercially, they are rarely wild caught.

The minimum tank size for gourami’sis 60L. Increase the tank size whenever you add new fish and live plants. Opt for an elongated tank shape. Also, the tank must have a lid to avoid them jumping out of the tank.

Honey Gourami’s will accept all types of live, frozen, and pack food. Feed flakes, and pellets, as well as frozen and live foods such as bloodworms, mosquito larvae, brine shrimp, and daphnia.
