Honey Gourami

Honey Gourami is a freshwater fish and belongs to gourami family. It is an ideal fish for beginning fish keepers due to their peaceful nature, hardiness and affordable price. They are timid and shy specimens and may take a while to get comfortable in your tank. Thesefish are native to northern India and Bangladesh, and occasionally in Nepal with most aquarium fish being bred commercially, they are rarely wild caught.

Features of Honey Gourami:

• Males have a base body colour of yellow to gold
• Females have an overall silvery white to brown body with a dark lateral band
• Honey Gourami has a narrow body and small dorsal and anal fins.
• The ventral fin is thread-like
• They swim in the top and middle levels of the tank
• Grows to 3.5-4.5cm

Honey Gourami’s will accept all types of live, frozen, and pack food. Feed flakes, and pellets, as well as frozen and live foods such as bloodworms, mosquito larvae, brine shrimp, and daphnia.
