The Purple Harlequin Rasbora isa striking variant of the wild Harlequin Rasbora, but sports shades of purple across the body. ThePurple HarlequinRasborais a peaceful shoaling species and enjoys a planted aquarium in groups of 8 or more. Suitable for smaller fish tanks, and less commonly seen then the regular Harlequin Rasbora.

They prefer lower light levels and densely planted aquariums with some open swimming space. Purple HarlequinRasbora’s tend to show colour best when conditions are ideal, with males being brighter.They are a timid species and will gain confidence with lots of hiding spaces and ingroups.
