Blue Stricta in Terracotta Pot

Native to tropical South-East Asia, Blue Stricta is a popular midground to background plant where its large deep green foliage makes a dense wall of colour.It is relatively undemandingand will establish itself well in an aquariumwith moderate to high lighting.

Turtles and herbivorous fish specieswill enjoy this plant in their diet.

Placement

Midground to background placement in the aquarium. Due to the dense and large leaf structure, pruning can be difficult, so it is best kept towards the back of the aquarium to display it’s natural beauty.

Growth Rate

Fastgrowth rate. Blue Stricta will utilise nutrients in the water column in the form of liquid fertilisation, however supplementation is not required as this plant uptake nitrates in the aquarium as a form of nutrients. This plants growswell in most aquarium substrates.

Blue Stricta has moderate lightingrequirements for healthy growth, but is relatively undemanding.
