Bleheri aregenerallyeasy to keep and suited for the beginner aquarist.A bright and energetic Rainbowfishthe body is is mainly silver to blue and greenfading to pastel shades of yellow to red.Males mature with deep bodies and have a brilliant yellow to orange stripe along the forehead during breeding.

Theyare active swimmers and prefer to be kept in shoals of 6 or more in planted yet spacious aquariums. This species inhabits lake Danau Bira in West Papua, and is considered a vulnerable species.
