A relatively new aquarium hardscape wood, Black Forest Spider Wood ischaracterized by its signature dark, charcoal brown hue. This unique featuresets it apart fromother aquascaping driftwoods such as normal Spider Wood which is lighter in color and only becomes brown in coloronce waterlogged. Black Forest Spider Wood, however, will become darker and darker as time passes. As a result, thisbold aquarium woodprovides a much darker-toned and mysterious planted aquarium atmosphere along with beautiful contrast against boldly colored aquatic plants. In addition, this Spider Woodreleases a minimal amount of tanninsthat would otherwisetint aquarium water for a longer period of time.
Wild twists and turns along with knots define this aquarium wood. Its natural root-like look is commonly sought after by enthusiasts. Black Forest Spider Wood works well on its own as a centerpiece or when complemented with smaller stones at the base of any scape.
