Banded Rainbowfish – Coen River

Banded Rainbowfish aregenerallyeasy to keep and suited for the beginner aquarist. Theyvary in colour and appearance depending on which waterway they are found. The Coen River is mostly pale green to yellow withmildly red to orange fins.“Trifasciata”literally means”three-banded”, which can be seen when you look closely.

Theyare active swimmers and prefer to be kept in shoals of 6 or more in planted yet spacious aquariums. This species inhabits the Coen River in Cape York Australia.
