4″ Pond Bottom Drain

The 4″ Pond Bottom Drain is essential for maintaining a clean and healthy pond with a gravity-fed filter system. Strategically positioned on the pond floor, it efficiently removes water and debris, ensuring optimal water quality.

The drain setup includes a sump, which is seamlessly integrated into the pond base, and a dome that covers it. For liner-based ponds, the sump comes with a flange ring to create a watertight seal. In concrete ponds, the flange ring is unnecessary. The gap between the sump top and the dome typically ranges from 2 to 5 cm to prevent smaller fish from entering the filter system.

Designed for efficiency, bottom drains can handle larger solids, making them less prone to blockages compared to submerged pond pumps.
