Tropica Hygrophila odora 1-2-GROW

Hygrophila odora is native to Western Africa. This aquarium plant can grow over 50 cm tall and is commonly found along riverbanks. Its emersed form features strong, upright stems that become woody at the base, along with lance-shaped leaves.

While there are many Hygrophila species in Africa, Hygrophila odora is the first and, so far, the only species from the continent used in aquascapers. It is a visually striking plant, but based on current experience, it is relatively demanding in an aquarium setting. It thrives best in soft water, under strong lighting, with an abundant supply of macro- and micronutrients like Neutro+ (and substrate fertilisation may be necessary) along CO2 injection.
