TheVolitan Lionfish are suited for theintermediate aquarist.A spectacular predatory species that is sure to be the centerpiece of your aquarium. This species has venomous spines and care must be taken when handling. It’s colouration can change depending on maturation.

Features of Volitan Lionfish:

• Red to burgundy, white, and brown to black vertical stripes along the length of the bodywith large, fan-like pectoral fins
• Grows rapidly up to 38cm
• Care level:Intermediate
• Semi-Aggressive
• spines on the dorsal, pelvic, and anal fins are venomous

This is a predatory species, do not keepwith smaller peaceful fish, or crustaceans.

Feeding:

Lionfish should be fed live food when recently introduced to a tank and when small to initiate feeding. They can then be weaned on to frozen or fresh fish, shrimp or other meaty marine food.
